There was plenty of speculation about the future of Brentford striker over the winter break, when a video of him circulated on social media appeared to disrespect the Bees.
However, he started the FA Cup defeat to Everton in their first game back, and was seemingly set to continue his run in spite of the controversy.
Touching on the comments, Brentford boss Thomas Frank said that he expected Toney to learn from them but wanted him to focus on his football.
‘It’s definitely a thing Ivan needs to learn from, I am sure he will. There is no reason to expose himself on a forum like that. I want him to focus on football,’ the German coach claimed.

But, it seems as though he will be unable to do so against Manchester City, with the English forward missing out with a reported minor calf injury.

Manchester City go strong
Manchester City, on the other hand, have no such issues. Pep Guardiola names a strong side including Kevin De Brune, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling, although Kyle Walker is only fit enough for a spot on the bench. Jack Grealish, meanwhile, is also among the substitutes after videos of him seemingly intoxicated circulated over the weekend.
