I personally feel that a couple of players deserve to start for Chelsea tomorrow in the Club World Cup semi-finals versus Al-Hilal, certain players who have mainly had to sit the bench recently.
Only really Hakim Ziyech has been in top form in our attack in recent matches, and with Mason Mount picking up a knock against Plymouth as well, I think tomorrow night is a great opportunity to pick a few players who haven’t started for a while. Although Mount has been training, it might be wise to not start him.

Romelu Lukaku hasn’t been at the races recently, and despite him being our most expensive player ever, I think it’s time that Kai Havertz was given the nod and a chance to show what he can do tomorrow night from the start.
I’d also like to see Christian Pulisic start the game behind Havertz, and Timo Werner. Then if we are using the 4-2-2-2 I’d go with Ziyech again alongside Pulisic in those slightly deeper attacking roles.
I believe that these players will all have something to prove and will be eager to get a chance to start a match. Whether we will see it or not is another thing and I am sure that Lukaku will end up starting again. But I just think that if we want to win this game, we have to freshen it up in attack and try something else.
If we go with a front three and Mount is still injured or a doubt, then we should go with Pulisic, Ziyech, and Havertz.
It just feels like it needs to be mixed up a little bit now after looking rather stale and without imagination in recent games.
