Ralf Rangnick would hold his latest Manchester United press conference on Friday.
Manchester United are set to take on Southampton in Saturday’s early kick-off.
The German discussed a number of topics in his press conference ahead of facing Southampton, including Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese has not scored a league goal since December and Rangnick is of the opinion that CR7, along with United’s other forward options, should be scoring more:
“It’s not only about Cristiano Ronaldo. He should score more goals, it’s obvious,”, the German said.
“I think we are creating enough chances and enough opportunities in the last couple of games but we just didn’t score enough goals, but this is not only an issue with Cristiano, it’s an issue with the other players, especially the offensive players. We don’t score enough goals.
Rangnick was also quizzed on reports of unrest in the United dressing room, but he claims to have not heard anything about it:
🗣️ ‘The way the team has developed in the last couple of weeks is obvious tactically and this is due to the work in training’

Manchester United vs Southampton
Manchester United head into the Southampton game sat 6th in the Premier League table after winning just two of their last five league games.
However, United could move above 4th place West Ham by winning their game in hand. But, in the same vein, 5th place Arsenal and 7th place Tottenham also have one and two games in hand on the Red Devils right now, suggesting the race for the top-four is set to be a hard one.
And if United want to stand any chance of securing that fourth spot, they will need to put together a decent run of form, starting against 10th place Southampton.

That may be easier said than done, however, as Ralph Hassenhutl’s side have a solid record against the big sides this season, drawing with Manchester City last month and beating Tottenham in their last clash.
