Manchester United look to be eyeing a move for Barcelona defender Ronaldo Araujo.
As per Goal citing Spanish reports, Manchester United have presented an offer to Barcelona defender Araujo.
The Uruguay international is yet to agree an extension to his current contract at Camp Nou that is due to expire in 2023.
And, according to Goal, Manchester United are said to have presented him with a deal that is worth €10m a year.
It is not yet known if Araujo has rejected the offer or not, but it will be interesting to see how he responds and if Barca, who have had their fair share of financial issues of late, can match that offer.
Araujo impressing with Barcelona
Araujo was signed by Barcelona in August of 2018, leaving Uruguayan outfit Boston River to link up with the club’s B team. And Araujo, from here, went on to feature 44 times for Barca B, scoring six and assisting three in the process.
Since then, he has been promoted to the club’s senior set-up, and has now become a key cog in La Blaugrana’s backline.
All told, the centre-back has notched 64 appearances across all competitions for the Spanish side, 24 of which have come during the current campaign and the latest of which saw him score in Barca’s 4-2 win over Atletico Madrid:

With Gerard Pique past his best, and players like Samuel Umtiti suffering with persistent injury issues, Araujo has, in turn, emerged as one of the few bright sparks at the back for Barca of late.
Should Manchester United be able to prise him away from the Camp Nou, though, he would undoubtedly make a great addition in place of Eric Bailly or Victor Lindelof.
