Man Utd plan to rub salt in Man City’s wounds by pouncing on their transfer ‘regret’ | Football | Sport

The club’s transfer hierarchy have apparently already discussed the details of acquiring the striker from Spurs. 

It would be a major blow for City, who, according to the report, ‘regret’ not trying harder to sign Kane in the summer.  

Despite his side comfortably leading the Premier League, Guardiola has not played with a natural centre forward all season.  

Sergio Aguero departed in the summer after 10 years at the club. The Argentine joined Barcelona and has subsequently had to retire due to a heart condition.  

Gabriel Jesus has played better in a wider role, while Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne and even youngster Cole Palmer have played through the middle. The trio are more natural in midfield or out wide.
