A significant update surrounding the efforts of Premier League giants Liverpool to clinch the signature of Fulham talent Fabio Carvalho has been forthcoming on Sunday evening.
The name of teenage sensation Carvalho of course took its place front and centre in the headlines late in the January transfer window.
This came amid the efforts of the aforementioned Liverpool to land the English youth international, before immediately sending him back on loan to Craven Cottage for the remainder of the campaign.
And, at one point late on deadline day, it appeared as though the Reds had managed precisely that.
In a blow for Jurgen Klopp and co., however, it was later revealed that a deal between the respective boards in west London and Merseyside had in fact fallen through, owing to the required paperwork not being submitted in time:

But, as alluded to above, late on Sunday evening, a fresh update on the situation has been forthcoming.
And the news is of an altogether positive nature, for Klopp, Liverpool and Carvalho alike.
As per the reliable Kevin Palmer, the ‘framework’ of an agreement has been found for Fulham’s talented young star to make the move to Anfield upon the conclusion of the campaign.
The Cottagers, for their part, remain hopeful of Carvalho returning to the club for the 2022/23 season, with the ‘fine details’ of the deal, in turn, yet to be ironed out.

Fabinho on target
Word of Carvalho inching towards a move to Liverpool of course rounds out a fine day all-round for the Merseyside heavyweights.
This comes after Klopp’s troops managed to keep their slim Premier League title hopes alive, courtesy of a 1-0 downing of Burnley at Turf Moor.
Fabinho proved the difference-maker on the day, continuing a fine recent spell of form in front of goal to guide the Reds to within nine points of table-topping Manchester City, all whilst boasting a game in hand on Pep Guardiola’s men.
