Bernardo Silva sends blunt title message to Liverpool
Bernardo Silva insists that he would rather be in Manchester City’s position than Liverpool’s after Pep Guardiola’s side could only manage a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday evening.
City had an opportunity to re-establish a six-point gap between themselves and Jurgen Klopp’s side with a victory against Palace, but in a white hot atmosphere, they could only leave South London with a point.
It means that the gap between the two title-chasing sides is now four points with the Reds set to play their game in hand at Arsenal on Wednesday evening, which could reduce result in the deficit being cut to just a point.
But, despite the pressure beginning to mount on the Champions, who at one stage in the season had a 13-point lead, midfielder Silva believes that his side is still in pole position to retain their title.
