Supporters of Premier League giants Liverpool have taken to social media in their numbers on Thursday evening, to heap praise on January addition Luis Diaz.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are of course currently locked in action.
On the back of a quartet of successive victories across all competitions, the Reds have welcomed Brendan Rodgers’ struggling Leicester City to Anfield, for a Premier League clash.
Liverpool headed into proceedings aware that nothing but a 5th-straight win would suffice, after Manchester City further stretched their advantage atop the English top-flight on Wednesday, courtesy of a 2-0 downing of Brentford.
And, as things stand on Merseyside, all three points is precisely what the hosts are headed towards.
This comes after Diogo Jota continued his stellar stretch of form in front of goal with this evening’s opener just beyond the half-hour mark, slotting home on the rebound after Kasper Schmeichel managed to keep out Virgil van Dijk’s initial effort:
Right place, right time! ⚽️

‘Electric’
As alluded to above, though, it is not the name of goalscorer Jota which, over the course of the opening 45 minutes this evening, has taken centre stage in the chatter amongst Liverpool’s supporters.
This honour, instead, has been reserved for attacking partner in crime Luis Diaz.
Handed his first Premier League start on the left of Liverpool’s front-3 against Leicester in the absence of Sadio Mane, Diaz has wasted little time in making an impression on the Anfield faithful.
Surging up and down the left wing with pace and intent, the Colombian international has been widely hailed for his efforts thus far on Thursday, with one word in particualar having been utilised to describe Liverpool’s January addition:
Diaz is ELECTRIC
