Chelsea’s remain in control of their fate in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, heading into the second half tied at 1-1 with French Champions Lille.
The Blues hold a 3-1 advantage on aggregate, following their 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, but a penalty from Burak Yilmaz in the first half has threatened to put the cat among the pigeons in a half in which Thomas Tuchel’s side flattered to deceive.
However, Christian Pulisic restored the two goal advantage for the Blues with a accurate finish following a lovely pass from Jorginho.
Game on in France! ⚽️

Chalobah slammed by fans
Despite this, as can be seen below, one man stood out to fans after coming on following an injury. This came in the form of Trevoh Chalobah, whose first involvement in the piece was to give away a free kick and pick up a yellow card for a foul that led to the eventual penalty.
It’s safe to say, Chelsea fans were less than impressed.
Chalobah is hilariously out of his depth at this level.

At this point I’d rather we play sarr than chalobah
— Joseph (@CFCJos_) March 16, 2022
That was on Chalobah – he’s a liability
— Jonny Gutteridge (@Legend_JG) March 16, 2022
Chalobah has just been too reckless in recent games
— Fanny (@ifannnny) March 16, 2022
Chalobah is too clumsy man

That goal was all of Chelsea’s own making. A needless free kick given away by Chalobah on David. Then Mendy fails to deal with the cross, before Jorginho handles trying to clear.
What a mess.— James Robson (@jamesrobsonES) March 16, 2022
I’m afraid Chalobah is becoming a bit of a liability.

I’m blaming Chalobah for that goal idc

Chalobah has been so poor these past few weeks. He gets beaten so easily

All Chalobah has done since coming back from injury is play against us
