FC Barcelona and Lyon will square off in the UEFA Women’s Champions League final on Saturday with the most prestigious trophy in the sport on the line. Barcelona are the current title holders, and Lyon are seven-time champions, setting up what could be an all-time classic final.
Barca are led by current Ballon D’or winner Alexia Putellas, while Lyon have former Ballon D’or winner Ada Hegerberg and some familiar faces for American viewers. For the first time in five years, U.S. women’s national team stars will represent in the Champions League final as Catarina Macario and Lindsey Horan will suit up for French side.
This is the second UWCL final to feature these two teams. Lyon defeated Barcelona 4-1 in Budapest in the 2019 final to win their sixth crown. Barcelona are looking to win their second consecutive title after defeating Chelsea FC 4-0 in last season’s final.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET., and the match will air on DAZN.
