There might be a few crossroads for certain players at Chelsea this summer, and more importantly, some big decisions for the club to make.
After not signing any new players for the senior squad in the January transfer window, some reports have claimed this is largely because they are planning to be quite busy in the summer with a number of targets mentioned.

⚽ Defense: Koundé
⚽ Midfield: Declan Rice.
⚽ Attack: Ousman Dembélé (as free agent).

This means that they will need some funds, and that means selling players. There will be some players who could decide that this summer might be the time to move on from the club, players who are not perhaps playing as regularly as they would like to be such as Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic.
So there could be some major decisions to make in attack depending on if anyone leaves, as they will need replacing.
The same goes for the defence as well with the contract situations of three centre backs looming over our heads. Chelsea might genuinely end up needing to replace three defenders all leaving as free agents as things stand, which will be a massive headache for the club.
The big decisions don’t stop there either, as it appears they might need to make a decision in midfield as well, with many links now to both Aurelien Tchouameni and Declan Rice. But you’d imagine that this summer they will not be able to land both, so it could be one or the other.
It will be a busy few months ahead in the boardroom and amongst the decision makers at the club, as they look to improve once again for next season under a top class manager in Thomas Tuchel who fully deserves backing.
