Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has, on Sunday evening, provided an update on the injury recovery efforts of hitman Jamie Vardy.
Ex-English international Vardy has of course not taken to the pitch for close to two months now, owing to a hamstring injury picked up in a Premier League meeting with Liverpool late in December.
The attacker, in turn, has been forced to sit out no fewer than eight fixtures.
Speaking on the back of the most recent of these outings, when his side made the trip to Molineux for a showdown with Wolves earlier today, Brendan Rodgers was therefore inevitably asked for an update on Vardy’s wellbeing.
And, in a boost for all associated with the club, the Leicester boss went on to confirm that his veteran striker should mark his return to the pitch within the coming ten days:
Rodgers: “Jamie [Vardy] is 7-10 days away from returning.”

Lookman not enough
News of Vardy’s imminent return of course marks some much-needed positive news for those of a Leicester persuasion, on the back of another difficult evening for Rodgers and co. on Sunday.
As alluded to above, the Foxes made the trip to Wolves a short time ago, hopeful of getting things back on track amid a concerning recent spell of Premier League form.
When all was said and done in the west Midlands, however, the woes of the day’s visitors only continued to deepen.
After Ademola Lookman bagged a deserved equaliser to pull Leicester on level terms late in the first-half of action, a fine effort on the part of Daniel Podence midway through the 2nd 45 ultimately proved enough to guide Wolves to all three points.
