Manchester United travel to face Atletico Madrid in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg clash fresh off the back of a 4-2 Premier League win over rivals Leeds United at the weekend.
Next up, Man United face Atleti in Europe for the first time in over three decades.
It could be a good time to renew acquaintances. Diego Simeone’s men have not been in the best of form, losing three out of their last four matches. However, the Colchoneros did pick up a win in their most recent encounter, and it was a convincing one, too — a 3-0 away victory over Osasuna.
Manchester United earned the right to host the second leg at Old Trafford after finishing in first place in their Champions League group. Atletico Madrid came in second place behind Liverpool in their group.

Expect goals at the Wanda Metropolitano as United face Atleti.
Rangnick’s men might be the very definition of inconsistent so far this campaign. However, it’s not been the best of seasons for the Spanish champions either. They currently sit fifth in La Liga, 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid.
Simeone’s team isn’t as impenetrable as it once was — Atleti score plenty, but also leak a few. Even though they beat Osasuna at the weekend, they only managed 38 percent possession.
United to get the first goal (+115) looks a good pick, as does Cristiano Ronaldo to score any time (+210) given how much he has enjoyed playing against the Colchoneros throughout his career.
