Arsenal are still interested in the services of Philippe Coutinho, currently on loan from FC Barcelona at Aston Villa, according to reports.
As per football.london citing Spanish outlet Fichajes, Arsenal are still interested in signing Philippe Coutinho this summer, with it added that the Gunners and West Ham United are among the sides to be keeping tabs on the Brazilian.
Arsenal were linked with a move for Coutinho back in December but he eventually made the switch to Villa in January.
And, as 101 have covered previously, Aston Villa would have to pay £33m at the end of the season if they wish to sign Coutinho permanently.
Philippe Coutinho impressing with Aston Villa
If he is to keep up his current form, however, £33m looks like a fairly reasonable fee for any side to pay for Coutinho.
Coutinho has only made four Premier League appearances since his return to England.
However, he has been one of Villa’s better players in all those games, in which he scored two and assisted two.
Coutinho’s last strike would see him help Aston Villa earn a 3-3 draw with Leeds United:

Do Arsenal need Coutinho?
But whilst Coutinho looks to have rediscovered his best form, would he actually be a good signing for Arsenal now.
Through the middle, Arsenal have two very capable options in the form of Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard.
And whilst Coutinho also works well on the left, Arsenal have the in-form Gabriel Martinelli and Smith Rowe to cover that spot.
