Arsenal are interested in adding a pair of Spaniards to their summer rebuild, should reports be believed.
The first of the La Furia Roja pair is Alvaro Morata, who the gunners were reported to be interested in during the January transfer window, but ultimately could not manage to do a deal for the former Chelsea man. Currently on loan from Atletico Madrid to Juventus, Morata has played for a wide range of top clubs across Europe, and was seemingly ready to make it another in January.
And, as per Tutto Mercato, he could be available in the summer.
‘The Spaniard is not part of Simeone’s plans’, they report. ‘He likes Arsenal but in the new tactical set-up, as a second striker’.

With Arsenal likely needing two strikers come the summer, since both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are out of contract, could Morata prove a perfect fit.
Gunners face competition for Fabian Ruiz
Meanwhile, the Gunners are facing competition for Napoli man Fabian Ruiz, with the Spaniard catching the eye of PSG and Barcelona as well as Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar.
According to the Mirror, ‘Napoli want around £16million plus extras for Fabian, while the player is understood to be seeking a four-year deal.’
The Spaniard is out of contract in 2023, and has already turned down the opportunity to extend with the Serie A outfit. However, Arsenal may be outgunned.
‘If the [contract] answer is negative, the Spaniard will be on the transfer market at the end of the season’, reports Tutto Mercato. ‘On him are Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain’.
Could Arsenal manage to pull off a double swoop?
