Arsenal’s link with Armando Broja has sparked fresh debate over whether yet another Arsenal transfer from Chelsea will be successful or not.

Willian, Petr Cech and David Luiz have all moved to the Emirates from Stamford Bridge in recent years, although there wasn’t much that those players did in their stints in north London compared to their exploits in the west.

The Blues undoubtedly saw the best years of their talents, with the club shifting them as they went into the tail end of their careers.

But the Gunners are reportedly willing to try a different approach, with football.london reporting an interest is held in the Albanian striker due to his good form in his loan spell at Southampton.

Chelsea’s wing woes aren’t so much of an issue at the moment, given their reliance on a narrow 3-4-1-2 system.

But the Blues enjoyed much success last season with a wing duo of Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner proving to be fruitful.

With there being no goalscoring out-and-out wingers at the club, Pepe could end his Arsenal nightmare in a swap deal for Broja.

And it could see the Ivorian begin a superb career in London after all.

William Saliba

The Blues have four defenders out of contract in the summer that may need replacing if they don’t make contract offers to their expiring stars.

Saliba has yet to feature prominently for Arsenal, and still has not made an appearance for the first team since his move from Saint-Etienne in July 2019.

The Frenchman has since starred at Marseille and Nice, making 53 appearances in 18 months.

And it could be one youngster in, one youngster out at the Emirates given how well defensive duo Ben White and Gabriel have fared in recent weeks.
